The H&C EXPO Charity Golf Day at the Celtic Manor, taking place on Monday 16th July 2018 continues to build, with the latest team taking part being Cambrian Training Company. With the central theme of the three-day event being tackling our industry’s people and skills shortages, having Cambrian Training Company is particularly fitting.
Mark Harris, Exhibition Director, H&C EXPO said:
“As Cambrian Training Company is Wales’ leading provider of hospitality and catering industry apprenticeships, we are delighted to welcome them to H&C EXPO. Cambrian Training Company are training providers to the Celtic Manor, who over the past five years, have recruited 386 apprentices and currently employs 119.
As our golf day is raising money to support The Clink and The Foxes Academy, having Cambrian Training Company involved and taking part will add to our efforts significantly.”
Arwyn Watkins, Managing Director, Cambrian Training Company told us:
“Cambrian Training Company are proud to be supporting this Charity Golf Day by entering a team to represent us. To be honest we are not sure where we will identify the team, but once the word gets out that we are on the search for players I am sure that our business partners and work colleagues will be putting their names forward for selection.
It might mean we will have to run our own selection event for the high-profile spaces on the Cambrian Training Team at this prestigious charity event at a prestigious venue.”
If Arwyn decides to hold his own selection event, he won’t be the first.
The Cleaner Products ‘Chefs Challenge’ took place recently on 11th September at the Croham Hurst Golf Club, Croydon.
The event was held to select two chefs to represent Cleaner Products and the winners were, David Garrard, head chef at Croham Hurst, Ben Mellor, head chef at Blandford Comptoir restaurant, London.
