The ARC Technology Village is the first feature area that will present itself to H&C EXPO event visitors next July at the Celtic Manor Resort. ARC Services and their technology partner AURES now also join the line-up of teams taking part in the H&C EXPO Charity Golf Day.
Both ARC Services and AURES embraced the idea of taking part and raising money for the two hospitality and catering industry charities that will benefit from the golf day.
Mark Harris, Exhibition Director, H&C EXPO was delighted with the news saying:
Technology is changing our industry and the rate of change is accelerating. When we were planning The ARC Technology Village, we discussed how we could demonstrate change and how technology plays its part in that. Bringing the best technology – people and brands – together under one roof was central to our discussions.
The importance of having the best ‘people’ available resonated with ARC and Aures, recognising the H&C EXPO core theme of addressing our industry’s people and skills shortages.
So, playing a part in our golf day supporting industry charities providing opportunities for people to enter into and develop their skills was agreed enthusiastically.”
Steve Rac, Managing Director, ARC Services reiterated Mark’s comments saying:
As a technology solutions provider to hospitality and catering businesses we never lose sight of how important our people are in the customer equation. To create and manage robust technology solutions that deliver, we need the best people.
The work done by The Clink and The Foxes Academy brings new people into our great industry and develops their skills through training. We can only support that and are happy to do so through taking part in the H&C EXPO Charity Golf event.”
Tamara Haslam, Corporate Manager Sales, AURES agreed with Steve’s rationale and also told us she was intent on having some fun and networking, saying:
“When I started to look at the companies and people on the H&C EXPO Golf Event line-up, it seemed too good an opportunity to miss. I don’t play golf myself but that doesn’t seem to have stopped others from taking part, so it won’t stop me.
The course at the Celtic Manor is a beautiful setting, endorsed perfectly having hosted The Ryder Cup in 2010. It seems perfect for a day of driving the team golf buggy meeting all the other teams on our way round.
I can also pop into the exhibition hall and see The ARC Technology Village coming to life as the golf day is also build up day.”
The ARC Technology Village is an IT solution centre for hospitality and catering businesses to spend time with ARC and their technology partners. Visitors can discuss everything from multi-site total IT management solutions to any individual element of a solution.
