The H&C EXPO website will feature exhibitors regularly pre show to keep visitors up to date with the latest product and service innovations at the show. In the run up to H&C EXPO get the inside track on what companies exhibiting have to offer the market and how it is delivered.
This week, we met with husband and wife team, Tom and Danielle Sensier, Directors of TM Electronics at their offices in West Sussex to gain a better understanding of their expert business brand, TME Thermometers.
TME is a family business established in the late 1980s, which continues to expand and develop: moving to larger premises in recent years, developing new markets at home and abroad, increasing its exports and above all, continuing to innovate.
The couple have built an identifiable brand in the UK temperature test and measurement industry, with a strong emphasis on producing accurate, functional designs and delivering practical solutions built to last. The company has a particular expertise in serving the hospitality and catering sector in all areas of food service, storage and logistics, and are also the leading manufacturer of temperature kits for legionella water testing.
Tom Sensier admits to being something of a ‘temperature geek’ who always enjoys a technical challenge, and this is what makes the H&C sector such a great fit. “It’s one of the fastest moving industries, known for its constant innovation – from new dining concepts and safety concerns to ever-increasing productivity goals. And finding new ways to manage temperature is all a big part of that.”
TME is an unashamedly British brand, and the company is enthusiastic about its UK-based design and manufacturing capability. “Still being able to provide local jobs, to produce quality homegrown designs and to contribute to a more sustainable food culture and supply chain is an important driver for us, personally.”
We are very excited about meeting with a very diverse range of visitors who all have the same thing in common – a tremendous enthusiasm for the H&C sector. TME embraces all business platforms – so we are equally keen to meet with independent hotel ad restaurant owners as well as the more high profile chains.
We hope the new Expo will be an excellent opportunity for us to sell and market our products but we also keen to understand the new ideas, products and ambitions that will shape the industry moving forward, so we are particularly pleased that young chefs and students are going to play a prominent role.
TME will be exhibiting a staggeringly extensive temperature range at the Expo. “We can never agree on what to leave behind, so we end up bringing almost everything, the couple admits. “MM7000 Bluetooth Barcode Scanning thermometers will certainly feature strongly, as will our budget-conscious CA2005 colour-coded temperature kits. But we’ll also be bringing some of the more unusual products we’ve been asked to develop over the years: a probe for measuring individual calamari, a black-body probe pretending to be a hot pie and corkscrew probe that’s actually designed for frozen meat – not wine!
