H&C EXPO dates set to be announced

Following an intensive review of industry conferences and events in the UK hospitality and catering sector, H&C News will announce a brand-new event at an official launch on Monday July 10th at The Celtic Manor Resort in Newport, South Wales.

Celtic Manor will play host to H&C EXPO in July 2018 and 2019, the latter marking the inauguration of the International Convention Centre Wales.

H&C EXPO will be a two-day conference and exhibition bringing industry professionals and suppliers together from all over the UK. The show provides a new and exciting combination of features, masterclasses, product demonstrations and roundtables built around an innovative hosted buyer programme.

The decision to stage H&C EXPO in Wales reflects the region’s thriving hospitality and catering market, as H&C News publisher Denis Sheehan and guest speakers will explain to specially-invited guests at the official launch on July 10th.

The food and drink sector in Wales employs 223,000 people and contributes £17 billion a year to the UK economy. Yet, unlike England, Scotland and Northern Ireland, Wales does not currently have an event that brings together the many sectors of our industry together. H&C EXPO will change that.

H&C EXPO will be a national rather than regional event, reaching a national audience with a series of innovative international partnerships already in place. Full details are under wraps until the launch when details will be announced.

H&C News events including roundtables have always been popular with delegate attendees and partners, including our most recent supply chain event at Café Spice Namaste.

“We were delighted with the results from working with H&C News to create our food and drink supply chain event at Café Spice Namaste” says Cyrus Todiwala OBE. “So I am now looking forward to working with the H&C News team again on H&C EXPO to create this exciting new event.”

The Culinary Association of Wales is looking forward to working with H&C News, as association President Arwyn Watkins confirms.

“H&C News were our guests recently when we hosted the World Association of Chefs’ Societies (WACS) European conference. The conference demonstrated the importance of a partnership between chefs and the supply chain in Wales, as well as showcasing Welsh culture to the Europeans, so when H&C News told us of their plans for H&C EXPO we knew we had to be a part of it.”
