The inaugural H&C EXPO Golf Day took place on Monday 16th July at the iconic Celtic Manor Resort, host venue of the 2010 Ryder Cup. The day saw hospitality teams and players travel from all over the UK to come together and take part.
One of the teams representing Bank Brokers UK was captained by the Welsh Rugby legend Paul Thorburn. Paul no stranger to leading having captained the Welsh Rugby Team on many occasions was only too pleased to reflect on the day in the video below.
Jeremy Wakelin, Bank Brokers UK, Regional Director, Wales & West was equally pleased with the day telling us:
“It was a real pleasure to be invited to join this important industry event here in the heart of Wales and we especially enjoyed supporting two deserving causes: The Clink Charity and The Foxes Academy.
“Our clients whom they entertained on the day were delighted to play on the immaculate and challenging Roman Road course in the impeccably groomed grounds of the Celtic Manor Resort.
“As caddy I was honored to support the team and our Team Captain – the Welsh Rugby legend Paul Thorburn – spear-headed a spirited team effort right up to the 19th hole!
“Bank Brokers is looking forward to being part of this prestigious charity event again in 2019”.
