Artis supports new take on exhibitions from H&C EXPO

Artis, a leading distributor to the out-of-home market of glassware, tableware and bar accessories played a key part in making the inaugural H&C EXPO a resounding success. “It was refreshing to see a new take on exhibitions from the people behind H&C News”, said Marketing Manager, Gill Head. “We were very pleased with the quality of visitors and we anticipate capitalising on the contacts we made at the show. These days, with so much activity online, opportunities to see and handle a plethora of new products in one place is important and time-effective for visitors. H&C EXPO had a refreshingly different feel about it.

Sponsoring The H&C Social Media Roundtable

A key part of the exhibition was the many and varied roundtable discussions that took place, where suppliers, end users and specialist facilitators sat together and discussed the important issues of the day. Besides taking a stand at the exhibition, Artis were also key sponsors of The H&C Social Media Roundtable.

Amongst the issues debated were ‘chat bots’ and the part that Artificial Intelligence (AI) is likely to play as Social media channels become more sophisticated and a more integral part in the promotion of foodservice businesses. It is likely that restaurants of the future will be using Chatbots to engage with customers and answer simple questions. Says Gill: “Watch this space! Our redesigned website is set to have a ‘chat’ facility. Who knows? You may soon be talking to a robot!

New Products from Artis

Artis used H&C EXPO to showcase many of the new products contained in the 2018 Artis catalogue and, in particular, to exhibit for the first time new lines launched in the Company’s Spring brochure.

It was glassware that caught the attention of visitors with new lines such as Tenzationi stemware and Kristaliano casual dining glassware stealing the show. Visitors were also taken with Artis’ expanded range of vintage glassware, particularly the new Mixology collection by Luigi Bormioli.

Artis also promoted its barware accessories with new ranges of copper and stainless steel jugs and ice buckets.

In tableware, most striking was the Gallery collection of statement plates that Artis offered, bring something different to the tabletop. These exquisitely decorated   plates and coupe bowls designed to fit in with current food trends and interiors, combining subtle textures and muted shades to show case the beauty of food.

Many of the lines were on special offer with 25% off list prices of the iconic Hobstar vintage style DOF and Cooler, 25% off Libbey’s Brilliance stemware collection and 20% off Picardie tumblers. These offers proved very popular with visitors, but, if you were unable to attend, don’t worry all offers are valid until 30thSeptember 2018, so there is still time to bag a bargain.
