For two days last week several members of the procurement team from CH&CO hosted the Innovation Den at H&C EXPO held at the Celtic Manor 17th and 18th July.
Artisan food and drink businesses from all over the UK took part and each had their twenty-minute slot to present their business and products to the procurement teams. The stakes were high, as Wednesday afternoon would see the decisions from the CH&CO procurement team on who would be taken forward to work with them. Yes, contracts were up for grabs.
A selection process had taken place in the run up to H&C EXPO so all the businesses taking part had already been looked at. All taking part could be selected to work with CH&CO and one overall winner would additionally receive a £10,000 advertising schedule in Hospitality & Catering News. The overall winner would also have advice and guidance from the CH&CO marketing team on how to best use the £10,000 marketing spend.
We will leave the announcement of who the outright winner was to Samantha Davies, Head of Regional Procurement CH&CO Group to do the honours in the video below.
We would like to offer our thanks to the whole CH&CO team that took part throughout the two days of the Innovation Den.
And our warmest congratulations to Innovation Den Winner Allie Thomas, Owner & Manager at Cradoc’s Savoury Biscuits. The video below shows just how much it meant to Allie to win. The opportunity provided through our working with CH&CO Group will we hope transform Cradoc’s Savoury Biscuits. We will follow progress and report regularly, and we expect it will be quite some journey.
Artisan food and drink companies from all over the UK took part throughout the two days of H&C EXPO and we were delighted that we saw a Welsh ‘home win’ in year one. We expect many more applications and an even diverse group artisan food and drink companies take part in 2019.
A Welsh ‘home win’ for Cradoc’s
